TITUS

Titus Chapter 2

¶ But as for you, continue teaching the things that go hand in hand with sound doctrine:

That the older men be sober, serious-minded, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in patience.

Likewise, that the older women live in a way that befits those devoted to God, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the younger women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be self-controlled, chaste, kind, keeping at home, obedient to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be blasphemed.

Similarly encourage the young men to be serious-minded.

In everything be an example of good works: consistent with your teaching, sincerity, and earnestness,

Using sound speech, that cannot be condemned; so that those who oppose you might be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about you.

Encourage slaves to be obedient to their own masters in everything, and to please them; without answering back;

Not pilfering, but showing that they can be trusted; so that all they do might make the doctrine of God our Savior more attractive.

¶ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a special people, eager to do good works.

¶ Continue to teach these things, and to rebuke, and convict with all authority. Do not let anyone ignore you.
