SECOND TIMOTHY

Second Timothy 3

¶ But be aware that, in the last days there will be dangerous times.

For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, unrestrained, fierce, despisers of those who are good,

Traitors, headstrong, egotistical, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying its power: avoid such people.

For these are the sort that worm their way into homes, and captivate impressionable women who are burdened with sins, and carried away by various desires,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these also resist the truth: they are men of depraved minds, who have a counterfeit faith.

But they will not get very far: for their folly will be revealed to all men, as theirs also was.

¶ However you are fully aware of my doctrine, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance,

Persecutions, sufferings, of the sort that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; the sort of persecutions I endured: but the Lord delivered me out of them all.

In fact, everyone who wants to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

But evil men and seducers will grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

However continue in the things that you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them;

And how from infancy you have known the holy scriptures, that are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

All scripture is inspired by God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
