SECOND JOHN

Second John

¶ The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I alone, but also all who know the truth;

Because the truth, lives in us, and will be with us forever.

Grace, mercy and peace be unto you, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I was very happy to find some of your children walking in the truth, as the Father commanded us.

¶ And now I appeal to you, dear lady, not as though I were sending you a new commandment, but one that we had from the beginning, let us love one another.

And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments. That is the commandment you have heard from the beginning, That you should walk in love.

¶ For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not admit that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Such is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Beware of them, so that you do not lose the things that we worked for, but receive your reward in full.

Whoever transgresses, and does not continue in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God. He who continues in the doctrine of Christ, has both the Father and the Son.

¶ If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house, or bid him God speed:

For he who bids him God speed is a partaker of his evil deeds.

¶ Although I have many things to say to you, I prefer not to do so with paper and ink: but I hope to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be complete.

The children of your elect sister send their greetings. Amen.
