SECOND CORINTHIANS

Second Corinthians 6

¶ Working together with God, we then plead with you not to accept the grace of God in an empty and hollow way.

For he said, I have heard you at the accepted time, and have helped you in the day of salvation: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

We give no reason for offence in anything, so that our ministry is not discredited:

On the contrary, in every way we show ourselves to be servants of God, in enduring much, in sufferings, in hardships, in distresses,

In beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in nights without sleep, in days without food;

By pure motive, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,

By the word of truth, by the power of God, with the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Through honor and dishonor, through slander and commendation: treated as deceivers, and yet true;

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, yet we live; as beaten, yet not killed;

As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

¶ O Corinthians, we have spoken freely, and opened up our hearts to you.

We are open to you, but you are narrow in your feelings toward us.

Now in proper response, (I speak as unto my children,) open your hearts to us.

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what agreement is there between righteousness and wickedness? and what do light and darkness have in common?

And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

And what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Therefore come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and have no contact with what is unclean; and I will receive you,

And will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
