THE BOOK OF ROMANS

Romans Chapter 16

¶ Now, I commend to you Phebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea:

That you receive her in the Lord, in a manner becoming to saints, and that you give her any help she may need: for she has been a great help to many people, myself included.

Greet Priscilla and Aquila my fellow workers in Christ Jesus:

Who have risked their lives for me: not only I but all the churches among the Gentiles are grateful to them.

Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Greet my dear friend Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ from Asia.

Greet Mary, who worked so hard for us.

Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, and were in Christ before me.

Greet Amplias whom I love in the Lord.

Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my dear friend Stachys.

Greet Apelles, tested and approved in Christ. Greet those who are of Aristobulushousehold.

Greet Herodion my kinsman. Greet those who are of the household of Narcissus, those who are in Christ.

Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, who has worked very hard in the Lord.

Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother who has been a mother to me also.

Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brethren that are with them.

Greet Philologus, and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

Greet one another with an holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings.

¶ Now I urge you, brethren, to make note of those who cause divisions and soul destroying offences contrary to the doctrine that you have learned; and avoid them.

For such people are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

For everyone has heard of your obedience. Therefore I rejoice over you: but I want you to be wise in regard to that which is good, and unaffected by what is evil.

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet swiftly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

¶ Timothy my fellow worker sends his greetings, as do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen.

I Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord.

Gaius whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. So does Erastus the city treasurer, and Quartus our brother.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

¶ Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, in accord with the revelation of the mystery, that has been kept secret since the world began,

But now is revealed, and made known through the writings of the prophets, by the commandment of the everlasting God, for the obedience of faith:

To the only wise God, be glory forever through Jesus Christ. Amen.
