PHILIPPIANS

Philippians Chapter 4

Therefore, my brethren, my beloved whom I love and long to see, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord.

¶ I urge Euodias, and Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord.

And I also call on you, loyal Syzygus, to help those women who worked with me, in the cause of the gospel, together also with Clement, and my other fellow-laborers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your kindness be known to all men. The Lord may come at anytime.

Do not worry about anything; but in every situation make your requests known to God by prayer and petition together with thanksgiving.

And the peace of God, that transcends all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report; if there is any virtue, and anything worthy of praise, think on those things.

Do those things that you have learned, or received, or heard, from me, or seen me do: and the God of peace will be with you.

¶ Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord, that you are again taking an interest in my welfare; indeed you were concerned about me, but you lacked the opportunity to show it.

I am not saying this because I am in need: for I have learned to be content, in whatever situation I am in.

I know how to live with little, and I know how to live with much: in any and every situation I have learned the secret of being content whether full or hungry, whether I have plenty or too little.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Nevertheless it was good of you, to reach out to me in my affliction.

Moreover you Philippians also know, that at the first preaching of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no congregation shared with me in regard to giving and receiving, but you alone.

For even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once.

Not that I am looking for a gift: but I look for the fruit that increases to your credit.

In fact I have everything I need, and even more: I am fully supplied, since I received from Epaphroditus the things that you sent, your gift is a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, in which God delights.

And my God will supply everything you need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

¶ Now to our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brethren that are with me send you their greetings.

All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

To the Philippians sent from Rome, by Epaphroditus.
