Numbers Chapter 33

¶ These are the journeys of the children of

And Moses recorded their starting places according to their journeys by the
commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their
starting places.

And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the
first month; on the day after the passover the children of

While the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck
down among them: the LORD also executed judgments upon their gods.

¶ And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho,
saying,

Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When you have crossed over
the Jordan into the land of Canaan;
52
Then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and
destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish
all their high places:
53
And you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and live in it:
for I have given you the land to possess it.
54
And you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families: and
to the larger families you shall give more land, and to the smaller you shall
give the less land: and every man’s inheritance will be in the place
where his lot falls; you shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
55
But if you will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then
it shall come to pass, that those of them who you let remain shall be
pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall trouble you in the
land in which you dwell.
56
Moreover it shall come to pass, that I will do to you, as I thought to
do to them.
