1 ¶ For, behold, the day is coming, that will burn like a furnace; and all the proud, yea, all who do wickedly, will be stubble: and the day that is coming will burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, it will not leave them either root or branch.

2 But to you who fear my name the Sun of righteousness will arise with healing in his wings; and you will go out, and frolic like calves released from the stall.

3 And you will tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do this, says the LORD of hosts.

4 ¶ Remember the law of Moses my servant, and the statutes and judgements that I gave to him in Horeb for all Israel.

5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

6 And he will turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
