THE BOOK OF ISAIAH

Isaiah Chapter 62

¶ For Zion’s sake will I not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness shines like a bright light, and her salvation like a flaming torch.

And the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you will be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD will bestow.

And you will be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

You will no longer be called Forsaken; nor will your land be called Desolate: but you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah: for the LORD delights in you, and your land will be married.

For as a young man marries a virgin, your sons will marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, your God will rejoice over you.

¶ I will place watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never keep quiet day or night: you who remind the LORD, do not remain silent,

And give him no rest, until he establishes Jerusalem, and causes her to be praised in the earth.

The LORD has sworn by his right hand, and by his mighty arm, Surely I will never again let your enemies eat your grain; or the children of foreigners drink the wine, for which you have labored:

But those who gather the grain will eat it, and praise the LORD; and those who harvest the grapes will drink the wine in the courts of my holiness.

¶ Go out, go out through the gates; prepare a way for the people; build it up, build up the highway; clear away the stones; and lift up a standard for the people.

Behold, the LORD has proclaimed it to the most distant parts of the world, Say to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your salvation comes; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

And they will be called, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you will be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
