Colossians Chapter 4

¶ Masters, give your servants what is right and equitable; knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

¶ Continue steadfast in prayer, being watchful therein with thanksgiving;

At the same time also pray for us, that God would open to us a door for the Word, to proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in bonds:

That I may make it public, as I should.

¶ Deal wisely with those who are outside the faith, making the most of every opportunity.

Let your words always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to respond to every individual.

¶ Tychicus, who is a beloved brother, a faithful minister and a fellow servant in the Lord, will fully explain my situation to you:

I am sending him to you for that very reason, so that you may know what our circumstances are, and be encouraged by him;

Along with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will explain to you everything that is going on here.

Aristarchus my fellow prisoner of war sends you his greeting, as does Barnabas’ cousin Mark, (concerning whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him;)

And Jesus, the one called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These two are the only Jews among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.

Epaphras, who is one of you, and a servant of Christ, sends you his greetings, he is ever striving on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand perfect, complete and fully assured in all the will of God.

For I can testify, that he has a great zeal for you, and those in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis.

Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

Give my greetings to the brethren in Laodicea, and to Nymphas, and the congregation that meets in his house.

And after this letter has been read among you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.

And tell Archippus, See to it that you discharge carefully the duties of the ministry that you have received in the Lord.

I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

Sent from Rome to the Colossians by Tychicus and Onesimus.
