SECOND CHRONICLES

2 Chronicles Chapter 4

1 ¶ Solomon also made an altar of brass, its length was twenty cubits, its breadth was twenty cubits, and its height ten cubits.

2 He also made a sea of molten metal, it was round and was ten cubits from brim to brim, and five cubits high; and a line thirty cubits long reached around it.

3 Under it were figures of oxen, all the way around: ten every cubit, all the way around the sea. There were two rows of oxen, that were cast in one piece with it.

4 It rested on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea sat on top of them, and their hind parts were inward.

5 And it was a handbreadth thick, and its brim flared like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; and it received and held three thousand baths.

6 He made also ten basins in which to wash, and put five on the right, and five on the left: and they washed in them such things as they offered for the burnt offering; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.

7 And he made ten lamp-stands of gold according to the directions, and placed them in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left.

8 He also made ten tables, and placed them in the temple, five on the right side, and five on the left. And he made a hundred basins of gold.

9 Furthermore he made the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid their doors with brass.

10 And he placed the sea on the right side of the east end, by the south-east corner.

11 ¶ And Huram made the pots, and the shovels, and the basins. So Huram finished the work on the house of God that he did for king Solomon;

12 Specifically, the two pillars, and the bowls, and the capitals that were on top of the two pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;

13 And four hundred pomegranates on the two networks; two rows of pomegranates on each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the pillars.

14 He also made stands, and he made basins on the stands;

15 One sea, and twelve oxen under it.

16 Also Huram his counselor made the pot, the shovels, the fleshhooks, and all their equipment of bright brass, for king Solomon for the house of the LORD.

17 The king cast them in the valley of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zeredathah.

18 Thus Solomon made all these vessels in such great numbers: that the weight of the brass was not calculated.

19 And Solomon made all the vessels for the house of God, and the golden altar, and the tables on which the showbread was placed;

20 And the lamp-stands with their lamps of pure gold, that they should burn before the inner sanctuary as directed;

21 And he made the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold, of purest gold;

22 And the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and for entrance to the temple, the inner doors for its most holy place, and the doors of the holy place, were of gold.
